Laura asks…

How do I get a Microsoft Windows Vista sidebar?

I recently got a laptop with Vista Home Premium and I noticed that I don’t have a Windows Vista Sidebar even though it supposedly comes with it (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/features/sidebar-gadgets.aspx)? Could someone help me find out how to get it to show?

Thanks in advance! :]

Craig answers:

Just click start, and start typing Sidebar.

It could be that it was disabled from automatically showing up. Once it’s loaded right click the icon in the tray and have it start when windows starts.

George asks…

is there a hot key to bring the windows vista sidebar and gadgets to the front of the screen?

Craig answers:

Still trying to get to know this systems…only had it a couple of months. Never played with a computer much before either. But I believe there is a hidden area on the top right corner of the screen that will high light when the cursor finds it, from there you can open all of gadgtes and put them on your screen. Good luck, if all else fails, try looking in the adobe reader, there you should find a manual.
