Can you suggest any cool gadgets to download onto my desktop PC?
And explain what they do.

Craig answers:
Well, I can recommend Google Desktop, there are all kinds of cool gadgets for that like a notepad, twitter updater, CPU stats shower and RSS feeds. More than enough options and it works very good.

Carol asks…
If I want to learn to build cool gadgets and vehicles what should I go to school for?
I want to build something like a rocket powered skateboard or a flying glider like on spiderman 3. I’m not some young kid who’s fantasizing I just want to build things and sell them I want that to be my occupation

Craig answers:
+1 Mechanical Engineering, you’ll learn a little about everything.

Ipod TOUCH?
im gonna get an iPod touch this weekend. my dad’s sure that they’ll charge me for browsing on the internet, but i say that if u buy the touch, you dont have to pay for browsing the internet. i said that it was one of the features. Who is right?

Craig answers:
I have owned an ipod touch for 2 weeks now…
Ive been on the internet on it soooo manny times and the only way i can get onto it is by using wi-fi hot spots, whether its at school, at a shopping center or at the airport. You can get charged for the internet only if ur using hotspots like t-moble’s wifi hotspots in starbucks’ or at like hotels where they charge for the use of their internet. It doesnt matter if ur using an ipod touch or a laptop, the internet is free just as long as u have a pw for the network you’re trying to get into or if the network is open. You will never get a bill for using the internet like on a cell phone. The only reason why you get a internet bill when you use it on a cell phone is because the cell phone uses a cellular connection to get to the internet, not wifi hotspots like ur ipod touch would. So yea u are the one who’s right. You will not get charged for using the internet.

Mary asks…
IPod touch????????????????????
I swear I hate my iPod touch so much!!!!!! I have a 2g iPod touch and i honestly feel like throwing it against a rock. I regret ever buying this piece of sh*t. I also feel so stupid for Not waiting another month and buying the new 1. So here’s what happened. A few months ago all my friends at school had the iPod touch. I thought it was amazing because it did so many stuff like apps,Internet and it’s a touch screen. So I save up $200 and go to the store to buy one. Little do I know that a new one was coming out in a month and I thought there was only one iPod touch ever made. So I buy one and I loved it so much. So a month ago I still thought there was only one iPod ton and that I had the latest one. Well I look on apple.com and it showed they made a new one. So I go to the apple store to try it out and it was amazing. Here I’m thinking my iPod is the newest one but it’s actually one of the old ones and now I hate it. It’s slow,it always freezes, and now everytime I tap the screen it makes a clicking noise. What do I do??? Should I buy the new one now or wait until September when they make a new one? Because i hate this thing so much. The thing is I don’t have any money and I can’t get a job because I’m only 13. What do I do???? Because in 2 months my dad is starting to give me $40 a week so should I save up for the 4g or wait until thy make the 5g? Because I honestly don’t think I can wait until September to upgrade those piece of crap. So I honestly don’t know what to do because I can’t take this anymore. I honestly want to throw thist thing at the ground. I was thinking of selling it but Idk how much I would make. How much do you think some one will spend on a 2g 8gb ipI’d touch thats jailbroken? Thank you very much.

Craig answers:
Wow you seem like its life threatning lol. But I understand the 2g ipod can be a pain. Heres what you should do. First wait until your dad gives you the $40 a week. In 2 months you’ll have the money. Then sell the ipod on ebay craigslist or any websites. Then just go buy it. I would get the 8gb and use the 4g as a temporary ipod until the 5g comes out. Buy the thing that allows you to return it full retail within a year. Hope I helped XD. And think of it this way atleast you have an ipod there are many ids out there that would kill the even have an ipod shuffle.

Paul asks…
iPod TOucH?
how tp add applications onto my ipod touch( i have the upgrade).
I have a mac computer

Craig answers:
Once you jailbreak your iPod so it’s version 1.1.1, goto Safari on your Touch than goto http://www.jailbreakme.com and than scroll to the bottom. Than install the installer and you just got yourself the tool to download cool apps!!!

Does anyone know a website with help and tips for Garmin GPS users?
Just bought a Garmin Nuvi 260W GPS and the owners manual is very limited. Need a website that might help with programming and such. I know about the Garmin support page I just thought there might be a forum or site for users. Thanks!

Craig answers:
Would you believe ” garmin.com “. Lots of stuff there, such as up-dates etc.

Laura asks…
How do i get my computer to recognize my garmin gps?
I bought a garmin 200 gps and im trying to update the maps online. The problem is when i plug the usb cable into the computer, my computer does not recognize the device.. It doesnt do anything, usually an icon will pop up saying new hardware detected.. but not this time. Any help would be greately appreciated

Craig answers:
Garmin has that question listed on the FAQ page.
Http://iqc.garmin.com/eCustomer/KODSelfService/request.do?session={5f74c680-9ee9-11dd-e87e-000000000000}&event=7&view()=c%7B7c0d7580-0494-11dc-e004-000000000000%7D&objectId=&eksObjectId=&objectType=Case&isJumpEnabled=false&isContentJumpEnabled=false&vendorKey=&versionId=105&objectScore=18&from=results
Question: Why doesn’t my computer detect my unit when I connect with a USB cable?
Answer:
Your computer uses USB Mass Storage Mode to detect your Garmin unit. If your computer does not detect your Garmin unit, you can try these troubleshooting steps:
Unplug the USB cable from the computer.
Turn the unit off and then back on again.
Plug the USB cable into your computer.
The unit either automatically goes into USB Mass Storage Mode or displays USB Mass Storage Mode as an option on the screen.
Note: If your computer still does not detect the unit, make sure that you plug the USB cable directly into the computer USB port and not the USB hub. If the cable is already plugged directly into the computer, try plugging it into a different port.
If you still experience problems, please contact Product Support.

Helen asks…
what the heck is a garmin GPS unlock code?
I bought a garmin a few years back. still dont know what is “garmin unlockwizard” as it appears in my start menu. What purpose does it do? Is it suppose to make my GPS dance or what? I’ve already got their North America CD.

Craig answers:
The unlock code allows you to unlock the maps in your Garmin. The link below is to a Garmin user manual and it explains what you need to do and how to use the unlock code. If you do a search for garmin unlock code you will get a list of several sites that include keygens. But you shouldn’t need any of these sites if you have the CD whick should include everything you need to know.

Is a website like this considered a company?
want to start a website. It will be a website with lots of reviews, comparisons, videos, and articles on different cell phones. I would sell advertising to make money and I would sell products through affiliate programs with att, sprint, verizon, etc.
Is a website like this where it is with information considered a company if i incorporate it? When people think of companies, they think of businesses that sell products and or services. I am not selling anything. People think companies are like Apple and Verizon and Boeing, but could this website be considered a company? Could I be considered a CEO?

Craig answers:
~~You can incorporate any business, and yes you can be the CEO, Secretary, Treasure, the whole works.
Any entity that serves a purpose is a company or business or whatever you want to refer it ot be.
You can be a sole proprietor to a corporation, just what you decide to choose for your business.
Yes your website would be considered a company.~~

What phone/internet service should I choose? I am starting a small business…..HELP!!!?
I have researched every service that I can think of including:
Qwest
Cox
Verizon
Cingular
AT&T
I only need a cell phone, a business phone, or a VoIP phone. I also need at least 512 Kbps bandwidth on the internet. I need to know if the software works on Mac and Windows. I also want to know if the service is good. If you have experience please let me know. I would like to know if they treat you nicely when you have questions, and whether their tech support knows what they are talking about.
I also need to know if the company has good rates, and why you think so, (please give me a comparison)…….

Craig answers:
Start with this website….
from there you can compare every provider in the US..
I use Packet8, and I’m very happy, I had called there techs before I even had sign up with them, and I was so impressed with there patience and friendliness, I sign up with them 15 month ago….they all speak English, the company is out of California…
Http://www.packet8.net/
I got clear-wire for my ISP….which is wifi-max-fixed…you can take your modem with you and plug it in…anywhere there is electricity…

Craig answers:
If you need a phone for your business. You can save money by bypassing the high cost of a business phone line with this trick. Get a 866 toll free number for $2 and have all the calls forwarded to your personal cell phone. You can setup the 866 number to display the 866 number on your caller id so you can identify whenever the call is a business call. So now you are able to handle both personal and business calls on one phone instead of two. Don’t worry about customers getting your personal voicemail because you just set it up so any 866 call will go to the 866 voicemail that is included for free before your personal voicemail picks up. Then all messages are emailed to you as well as saved online. Also, don’t worry about business calls in the evening because you can setup specific times when it should go strait to voicemail. Http://kall8.tollfree2.com
If you have Sprint or Verizon, you can get a laptop netword card to connect to the internet at slow DSL speeds for additional fees. Sprint is cheaper.

Do you find mobile phones/cell phones annoying?
I see how they are handy, but i can’t help but see them as an invasion of privacy. Anyone else?

Craig answers:
Some times I feel like, Ugh, I don’t want people to be able to get a hold of me all the time.

Sandra asks…
What can I do with old mobile (cell) phones and mp3 players?
Hi all,
So I had a big tidy up today (hurrah) and stumbled across a couple old mp3 players and an old (and weird) phone. All these things are broken, so I can’t give them to charity. What can I do with them? Are there any useful/valuable/reusable parts that I can retrieve? If not, are there any places I can drop the things off at and they can recycle them?
Thanks,
Simon

Craig answers:
They can be recycled, great way to help those who need a phone.

Donna asks…
Are there any mobile/cell phones which have external antennas?
I’ve seen people use them in new-ish films so I’m sure there must be some around, I’ve tried the US and OZ and the UK but can’t find one anywhere – any suggestions – can be new or old/second-hand I don’t mind – anyone know the names of any phone models? I thought there were a few nokias.

Craig answers:
I know the LG Vu has an extendable antenna that can be pulled out. Here’s a review of the phone and it mentions the antenna in the 7th paragraph of the review. :http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phones/lg-vu-black-at/4505-6454_7-32815554.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody;1r#reviewPage1
Hope this helps. (:

Donald asks…
What are some “can’t live without” kitchen gadgets?
What do you suggest for someone just starting out?

Craig answers:
My must-have list includes:
Spice/coffee grinder – for grinding spices, dried mushrooms, flax seed or any other small, dried item
An immersion blender – how can one possibly make Leek and Potato Soup without one?
A refillable oil spray bottle – goodbye old-fashioned basting brush!
Crockpot – supper is ready the minute you get home. Need I say more.
Storage containers that can go straight from the freezer to the microwave
A small holed grater for ginger root – fresh ginger green tea anyone? Not to mention garlic-ginger stirfry and ginger noodle soup.
And last, but definately not least, a lever-action corkscrew – whether the wine goes in the food or in the cook, no kitchen should be without one of these.

Sharon asks…
How can kitchen gadgets reduce the carbon dioxide being let out from the powerplants?

Craig answers:
By using energy efficient or manual kitchen gadgets you would use less electricity. There would be less of a need for coal burning plants that produce electricity and by using less electricity you use less coal. Less coal burning less CO2 emissions. Now multiply all the electric kitchen gadgets in your house by 100+ million household in North America alone. Thats al ot of coal burning pants.

Jenny asks…
what are some really cool and useful kitchen items/gadgets??
i am trying to do some early christmas shopping.
looking for some kind of neat and useful kitchen item or gadget for my mother in law.
anything neat that you LOVE, but wouldn’t necessarily buy for yourself??
thanks!
the fryer might be a good idea……hmmmm

Craig answers:
You could get a crock or cantainer of some kind and put some spoons and turners, spatulas etc in it. These kinds of things wear out over the years. The first thing that I thought of when I read your question was, you know those recipies that you can put the dry ingredients in a jar and it looks pretty…you decorate the jar however you want and then attach the recipie with the wet ingredients that need to be added later…that would be cute for her if you are buying Christmas things. I have seen some with a cookie cutter attached or with a spoon attached. It would depend on what you put in the jar. Good luck.

Should I Wait for iPod Touch 5?
Should I wait for the 5th Generation (5G) iPod touch to come out? Or should i just buy the iPod touch 4G?
The 4G iTouch is already great for me, but what new features will there be on the iTouch 5G?
And is it worth waiting for?

Craig answers:
I would recommend just getting the 4th gen. The iPod Touch is a product that has kind of already done everything it’s going to do. Sure, Apple will improve it every year, but its at a point where any additions won’t really be killer. So you’ll be fine with the current one. But get a case! Those things are fragile!

Helen asks…
Can you download flash games like from Orisinal and play them on Archos 5 or Ipod Touch?
Can you download flash games like from Orisinal and play them on Archos 5 or Ipod Touch? Im trying to decide which i should get and if one can play flash over the other…. then thats what im getting.

Craig answers:
Flash is not supported on the iTouch.

Sandra asks…
What is the difference between the iPod Touch and the gen.5 iPod?
I hope theres big differences between the two because I’m trying to win over my dad to buy me the iPod Touch.

Craig answers:
Wow, there are many differences, the only things they might have in common is that they play music and videos. Lol.
The iPod Touch can do SO much more, you can surf the internet, watch YouTube videos, Install 3rd party apps and games, larger screen, and it has the touch screen of course. It can do so much more, you just have to experience it for yourself.
Check out some of the features from Apples website. Http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/

Cricket Cell Phone Service is it Good or Bad?
I see they have expanded their coverage area and they have unlimited talk and texting for 25.00 a month.
I am just wondering how well the phones work?
Christmas’ Coming!!
Thanks in Advance,
Cinn =)
Thank you
Thanks to you too Chris =)

Craig answers:
It is good if you only are going to be within the coverage range, like a large metro area. And their range remains strong, where I am. You cant beat their price. If you have to travel outside of their range, you will have problems. Their phones do not have SIM cards, but their main offices ( not their branches) advertise they can flash to their service. (I have never tried the flash memory part personally.)

Maria asks…
Does Cricket Cell Phone Service Give A Detailed Bill?
I am wondering if Cricket gives a detailed bill.
Detailed meaning: shows time/date of numbers called/texted or the same but with texts and calls recieved.

Craig answers:
They don’t. According to them it’s to save money.
And since their plans are all unlimited talk, I don’t blame them, haha.

Mandy asks…
How is this new cricket cell phone service?

Its has no signal out of town

Ruth asks…
Will continuously keeping my Sony Ericsson cell phone connected to the charger decrease the battery life?
I want to listen MP3s and the FM radio with my Sony Ericsson cell phone. Will continuously keeping the phone connected to the charger decrease the battery life?

Craig answers:
The best thing for your battery is to turn your phone off while it charges
or only charge it when the battery is less then half full otherwise you don’t really need to and it will decrease the battery life and eventually you will need to charge it all the time

Linda asks…
Is there a blue color for w580i Sony Ericsson cell phone?
